I cannot recommend Steve Cymbalsky and Brownstone Home Inspection LLC highly enough. Steve inspected a property I was under contract to purchase in Brooklyn and what he uncovered quite literally saved me from a financial disaster.<br><br>Steve discovered severe structural issues that had been concealed during a gut renovation -- issues that were later confirmed by a licensed structural engineer. Steve did our home inspection prior to purchase, and he was incredibly thorough. During the inspection he took a lot of time to explain what to look for, how quickly things needed to be fixed, and even suggested ways I could fix issues on my own. Every person we have shown the inspection report to has been very impressed by the level of detail and expertise. Additionally, he has helped answer some questions I have had after the inspection. Cannot recommend highly enough.
I highly recommend working with Steve. He has a wealth of expertise about old homes and is very detail-oriented and thorough. He has a lot of experience with restoration and shared some great information about some projects we want to take on. Will definitely hire him next time I need a home inspection.

Steve was extremely thorough and patient. Took his time to talk me through all the important things he saw. Made sure he saw every nook and cranny of our house during the pre purchase inspection. Went above and beyond the scope of the inspection and offered advice wherever he could. I thought his price was very fair.
